Our Goal, Vision & Commitment

Save the Sisters NL; our Unwavering Devotion and Cooperative Approach
Mission - To safeguard the rich cultural heritage of St. John's and Newfoundland and Labrador by preserving and revitalizing its historic buildings. We are committed to protecting these precious landmarks for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
Our Goal - Establish a Heritage Cooperative that will serve as a custodian of our mission. We aim to create a platform that encourages community engagement and support for heritage preservation so that everyone can have a voice in the direction of the coop in service of the community.

Commitment Statement - We are fully dedicated to our mission and will not allow the sale or demolition of heritage buildings under our collective stewardship. Our commitment to protecting and restoring these structures is unwavering, and we will continue to work tirelessly to achieve our goal.
Our Leadership Team
Save the Sisters community movement was envisioned by a collective of passionate friends, entrepreneurs, and devoted Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. Our love for the iconic four sisters and their rich history, including their ties to Cabot Tower and stunning architecture, ignited a spark within us to protect our heritage.
What started as a simple solution and opportunity to solve a problem quickly blossomed into a full-fledged mission. Taking cues from social movements in Ireland, Scotland, and France, we embarked on a journey to safeguard the legacy of St. John's iconic buildings.
In 2022, we banded together to launch our first project: preserving the renowned Four Sisters of Temperance Street in St. John's with units 31,35 and 37. Our unwavering commitment to preserving our province's heritage will remain at the forefront of our efforts as we move forward, and we are asking our fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to join us in our mission to make it possible.
Leave us a message, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
